Preliminary work for this project will commence on Monday, March 14. This work will involve trail clearing activities in advance of and in support of required geotechnical engineering studies.
The specific work that will be undertaken will include:
Land surveying to identify limits of the access trail
Felling of medium to large caliper trees within the trail clearing limits likely utilizing hand operated power tools such as chainsaws or pole saws
Clearing of small caliper trees and brush above existing ground level utilizing power and hand tools within the trail clearing limits
No heavy equipment will be utilized for this phase of the work, but light to medium duty vehicles may be used to transport crews and equipment as the work progresses
This work will be conducted Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm and is expected to be completed in approximately 3 to 4 weeks depending on weather and conditions experienced in the field.
